MISSION STATEMENT
The Saskatoon Teachers' Association supports excellence in teaching, encourages teacher participation in educational decisions, and advocates the best interest of the teaching profession. The STA promotes quality education in Saskatoon schools.
THE STA LOGO
The Saskatoon Teachers' Association (STA) logo was developed in 1968 to represent the amalgamation of the Collegiate Teachers' Association, the Public School Teachers' Association and the Catholic School Teachers' Association. In 1990 the logo was updated to the current sytlized triangle to symbolize the unity of the STA within the two school divisions in Saskatoon. The symbol also represents the many partnerships in education between teachers and Boards of Education, home and school, teachers and parents, and provincial and local responsibilities. Today the triangle still represents the unity of the Saskatoon teachers in the Public School Division and the Greater Saskatoon Catholic Schools. |
